Venue
The venue of SAND 2025 will be Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village, 3 Paddington Village, Grove Street, L7 3FA, Liverpool, United Kingdom.
It is situated on the boundary of the university campus, making it easily accessible for attendees.
Note that there is another Novotel hotel in Liverpool (Novotel Liverpool Centre), which is not the conference venue.

The Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hotel
A limited number of rooms in the Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hotel can be booked using the discount code (737856), available on a first-come, first-served basis by directly contacting the hotel. The discount rates are as follows:
- Bed & Breakfast for single occupancy: £95

All rates are per night and include 20% VAT. The code is valid for the nights of June 8–11, 2025. It is already active and can be used. The code will be valid up to 6 weeks before the conference. Public Transport
Train
The conference venue is a 20-minute walk from the nearest train station, Liverpool Lime Street Station.
Liverpool Lime Street Station is well-served by the British Rail network with connections to London and all other major British cities. Trains to Liverpool from London take just over 2 hours and leave from Euston Station. Please visit National Rail for ticket information.
Coach
The National Express coach station is in Liverpool One Bus Station, Canning Place, Liverpool, L1 8JX, and is an 18-minute walk from the conference venue.
Air
For convenience, it is generally advised to fly into Liverpool or Manchester airports, as traveling from London can be more time-consuming than it may seem, despite the availability of cheaper flights.
Liverpool Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is eight miles from the city and is best reached by taxi or the express bus, directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal. You can also get buses 500, 86A, 80A, and 82A to Liverpool city center. More information about bus services is available at: Liverpool Airport Bus Services.
Manchester Airport
A train service runs between Manchester Airport and Liverpool Lime Street station. There is also a direct coach service which takes about one hour.
London Airports
There are regular direct trains from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street that take less than two and a half hours.
From London Gatwick, take the train to London Victoria, then the tube to London Euston.
From Heathrow Airport, one option is to take the Heathrow Express to Paddington, then the tube from Paddington to London Euston.

Parking
Please note that parking is severely restricted close to the venue and the University campus. We advise participants to use public transport wherever possible.
- Paddington Village Multi-Storey Car Park is the closest parking site, just a 3-minute walk from the venue (Novotel) on Elm Grove (off Smithdown Lane, L7 3FA). Parking on this site is £20.00 per 24 hours, paid on-site at the car park payment machine (cash or contactless).
- Novotel (the venue) also offers a designated drop-off/pick-up zone directly in front of the hotel with a 20-minute time limit.
- Mount Pleasant Car Park, located a 10-minute walk from the venue (L3 5TB), offers parking at £4.50 for up to 3 hours and £6.00 for over 3 hours up to 24 hours.

Food
There are many food options available, including a variety of restaurants on Hope Street, Bold Street, and in the city center, as well as a selection of university-led dining choices.
